10 Things G+ Users Need to Remember
There are many different reasons why Google Plus is different from other destinations in the social space. Anyone with even a minimal knowledge of the history of the internet will know that it has been, at least up till now a playground, relatively harmless where no one gets hurt. True, there have been many tales of people losing their jobs, husbands/wives, boyfriends/girlfriends or both from rash postings or indiscreet photographs reaching the wrong eyeballs. But, when you consider the sheer numbers of people using the net compared to the sob stories, it remains an almost statistical certainty that you won't get outed or caught.

I'm a fan of Google Plus. But, the insistence on real names is a mistake in my opinion. It's a decision that's going to come back to haunt them in the near future. Not only are people with known net handles being banned but, also some with unusual names are being bounced too. This is going to be a big issue as it appears that some are allowed keep their nom-de-net while others are not. Violet Blue - Google even verified her name. Seattle Rex - Unfortunately, he's not famous enough to be allowed stay using his net name.

Some half-assed rantings of an ordinary Google+ user Joined: 9 Jul 2011 As is normal in any new relationship things never go quite the way you hope they do at first and you find you're having to accept your new beau's foibles and shortcomings as charming idiosyncrasies. Things are no different over at Googles (nearly) new Social platform :- Google+ which at time of posting is still in private testing with just a mere 25 million users.

So, Is Google Plus Any Good?
Unless you've been living under a rock or you've only just heard about this new-fangled internet thing, you've probably read something about Googles latest delve into the world of social networking with the imminent public launch of Google Plus a.k.a. Google+. At the moment, it's still in beta testing mode which means you can only get in by invitation, though at time of writing the current membership is over 10 million and the invites are still turned on. So, it's reasonably easy to get yourself an invite.
